The story
Ranchhand front & rear bumpers, 5th wheel hitch, firestone airbags, spray in liner.
Used Michelin hwy tires when I first got it. Then transitioned to BFG ATs for 2 sets. A lot better for snow and gravel, but miles/gallon suffered a bit.
Tires are bead balanced using airsoft BBs. Smooth to legal hwy speeds...and then some.
Truck was purchased in CA from TX with just 114000 miles.
Window tint in rear saved the slider window from exploding inside the truck. Never EVER used the slider so I replaced with a solid glass....and tinted that.
Just lost the original windshield (201
to a rock in WY. Too late for Safelite to save it.
Swapping out to Expedition salvaged seatbelts, and steering wheel as my originals are showing a ton of wear.
swapped in a factory radio from a Windstar van -2018 So nice to have a working CD player again.
Fixed the overhead display by sending the unit to a fella in MN that fixed and shipped back for under $30....been working flawlessly now for 4+ years.
Swapped out the old headlamp housings and signal lights with 02 style units. Now with LED bulbs.
swapped the tailgate for an 08 gate with the matching year taillights. makes it look newer from the rear anyway.and its not jacked up from the broken chain and strap hits its taken over the previous years
installed a 2008 rear seat with the package tray and flip fold feature. Nice upgrade with cupholders and headrests. — locopny
