The story

I bought this 20 years ago. I was on a road trip with a buddy looking at some 67-69 camaros and firebirds for parts for a customers car. We were talking cars at dinner and I said I liked Torinos and had a yellow Cobra. He told me about this one sitting behind a hog shed. We went there that night and ther it was in the ditch with 34,000 miles om it. Took a few years to get it on the road. In late 1994 I took it to a cruise in and 3 guys came up and said they want to photograph it for Musclecars mag. I thought some buddies put these guys up to a joke. They showed me their business cards. It was Richard Litinello and Jeff Koch. I don't remember the 3rd guys name. They shot it and it came out on the cover in march 1995. In 1996 I was at The Street Machine nats in IL and I went into a gas station and the local Trader paper had a carshow special edition and My car was on the Cover. They were free so I took the entire pile. In 2002 my buddies kept telling me that there was a car just like mine in the ads for Fastest Street Car Drag Racing series. They brought in the ads and it was my car in the ads for the CarShow at the races. In 2006 I was at the HotRod nationals in Springfield,IL when 2 guys from The Outdoor Channel wanted to film my car and myself for HotRod TV. I was nervous and could not remember anything about my car. It aired on The OutDoor Channel in the fall of 2006 and in the spring of 2007. I have only met 3 people that have seen that show. No car guys watch The outdoor channel or even get it. The most fun I ever had with the car was in 1998 at World Ford in Bolwing Green Ky. I put road gears in it and hit the toll roads. We raised hell all over Bowling Green in my car. We did not leave till 8pm Sunday and got on the toll roads and ran 110mph for 2 tank fulls. What a blast. Thats my story. — badmusclecars429scj
